A Step Forward - 2024 LaunchPad Workshop

Taylor's Residence has recently conducted yet another impactful workshops in collaboration with UNHCR to empower refugee women.

On June 29th, we held a workshop with the Rohingyan Resilience Community, followed by another session on June 30th with the Women4Women group from UNHCR. Each workshop featured 12 enthusiastic participants and was supported by five dedicated volunteers from Roots and Shoots Malaysia. Representatives from Taylor's Residence were three skilled student trainers who expertly guided participants in making reusable sanitary pads.

The workshops were a success, ensuring participants received comprehensive training. Volunteers and the UNHCR team helped pack 1,000 pieces of cotton t-shirts (provided by Kloth and public donations) into individual bags for participants to take home and practice their new skills.

These workshops highlight the positive impact of our initiative, contributing to the self-sufficiency and economic independence of refugee women.
